Help with English to Italian Translation (Vest)?

Can someone please tell me how to say "vest" in Italian?

I have already tried searching but I got words wich mean different things: camiciola - canotta - canottiera - giubbotto - maglia.

Thanks:)Help with English to Italian Translation (Vest)?
what do you mean?? generally vest is "canotta-canottiera or maglia della salute" a sort of sleeveless t-shirt that you wear under your clothes (underwearing).

camiciola is like a light shirt, especially used by women so it's a sort of blouse, but also men can wear it.

canotta = canottiera = it is without sleeves

giubbotto= it's a sort of coatHelp with English to Italian Translation (Vest)?
well, giubbotto is a kind of vest. maglia means more like a t-shirt. the best one would one would be canottiera. camiciola would work too.

EDIT: ok, hold on. are you talking about a vest that you wear OVER you clothes like a sleaveless jacket?? or a wifebeater??? wifebeaters are those white undershirts that look like tank-tops that guys wear.Help with English to Italian Translation (Vest)?
